Should I use a boar bristle hair brush?

I do not comb my hair when it's wet and it doesnt get tangled (straight hair). I was just wondering if I should use a boar bristle brush to brush my hair with.Should I use a boar bristle hair brush?
If it doesn't get tangled, you don't have to brush your hair.


And if it did get tangled while wet and you have long hair, you'd have to use a large gapped tooth comb to prevent damage.
